Challenge

The Sizewell C nuclear new build programme is one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects. During pre-construction, the main civil works joint venture needed to establish a mature risk management capability that could satisfy the exacting standards of both the client and the nuclear regulator. The scale, complexity, and safety-critical nature of the project demanded a risk approach that went beyond standard industry practice.

Solution

Floreer provided risk leadership to the joint venture, establishing risk governance, policies, and procedures from the ground up. This included designing and implementing quantitative cost and schedule risk analysis processes, facilitating risk workshops across all disciplines, and developing risk reporting dashboards. Floreer also led risk assurance activities to ensure consistency and quality across the programme.
