Challenge

The joint venture delivering a significant section of HS2 recognised that its project reporting and data management practices needed to evolve to meet the demands of a mega-project. Information was siloed across different systems and teams, reporting was inconsistent, and there was limited visibility of key project metrics at a programme level.

Solution

Floreer conducted a comprehensive discovery exercise, reviewing existing data flows, reporting processes, and digital tools. The team interviewed stakeholders across all functions, mapped the current state, and identified gaps and opportunities. Floreer then developed a roadmap for digital transformation, prioritising quick wins and longer-term initiatives to improve data quality, reporting consistency, and decision-making.

Outcome

The discovery exercise provided the joint venture with a clear understanding of its data and reporting landscape and a prioritised roadmap for improvement. Several quick-win initiatives were implemented immediately, delivering visible improvements in reporting quality and timeliness. The roadmap guided the joint venture's digital investment over the following 18 months.
