Challenge

The East Coast Digital Programme was established to digitise one of the UK's busiest railway routes. The programme team needed to improve its business performance management and reporting capabilities to provide stakeholders with timely, accurate, and actionable information. Existing risk management and issue management processes also needed strengthening to match the scale and complexity of the programme.

Solution

Floreer worked with the programme team to design and implement improved business performance management processes, including new reporting templates, data collection workflows, and governance arrangements. The team also reviewed and strengthened risk and issue management procedures, and provided change management support to embed the new ways of working across the programme.

Outcome

The programme achieved a step-change in the quality and timeliness of its performance reporting, enabling better-informed decision-making at all levels. Risk and issue management processes were strengthened, providing greater visibility of emerging threats and enabling more proactive mitigation. The improvements were sustained through effective change management and stakeholder engagement.
