Challenge
The Brent Cross West station and associated critical infrastructure programme was a complex, multi-stakeholder project involving Barnet Council, Network Rail, and multiple delivery partners. The existing project management office lacked the processes, tools, and governance structures needed to effectively manage the programme. Reporting was inconsistent, risk management was immature, and there was limited visibility of programme health.
Solution
Floreer redesigned the project management office from the ground up, establishing governance frameworks, reporting standards, and risk management processes. The team implemented new tools for risk contingency management, developed business intelligence dashboards, and created standardised processes for issue management, change control, and tender preparation. Floreer also provided change management support to embed the new ways of working across the programme team.
Outcome
The transformed PMO provided the programme with a robust governance framework and significantly improved reporting quality. Stakeholders gained real-time visibility of programme health through the new dashboards. Risk management maturity improved markedly, and the standardised processes reduced administrative burden while improving consistency and auditability.
